Back to school: What it takes to safely reopen campus during a pandemic

“We’ve been working really hard to ensure our campuses are as safe as possible"

Thanks to the coronavirus, back to school has been anything but business as usual.

Every step of NAIT’s relaunch has prioritized the health and safety of staff, students and visitors. Even with an emphasis on virtual learning where possible, reopening labs, shops and select services requires careful preparation – and a whole lot of hand sanitizer, masks, signage, safety plans and training to keep our community safe.

“We’ve been working really hard to ensure our campuses are as safe as possible for everybody who has to come onto them this fall,” says Josh Bowen, director of the polytechnic's relaunch coordination team.

Here’s a look at how NAIT has responded to COVID-19 to make back to school as safe as possible.
