Maybe you’re graduating from high school this year, or you want to build on a previous post-secondary program, or you’re mid-career and interested in a change within your field or in a completely new direction, or …
That list can go on and on. But a common question underlies every scenario: “What should I do next?”
If you don’t have the answer, don’t panic. Instead, go to NAIT’s Open House, on Saturday, Oct. 26.
The annual event offers attendees the chance to check out more than 110 programs, see what services are on offer to help students, talk to instructors, and more.
All the action happens at NAIT’s Main Campus, 11762 - 106 Street, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parking is free for the day in NAIT lots (any City of Edmonton parking is not free), except for 24-hour reserved stalls.
RSVP online for your chance to win one of two $250 Visa gift cards!
Ever heard of a toboggan made of concrete? That’s what a group of Mechanical Engineering Technology students built from scratch. Even better, they got to race it in February against schools at a national competition in Newfoundland and Labrador.

While you’re there, don’t miss out on the opportunity to get up close to the offerings through tours and hands-on demonstrations. Be sure to

There’s an Olympics for that! Last February, a group of culinary program students made up NAIT’s first all-woman team to compete in the IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany. And they were incredible! The team earned a silver medal in the community catering category.
Take a break now and then – there’s a lot going on.
Grab a coffee and a snack from a Tim Horton’s or Starbucks location or a bite from NAIT’s very own Common Market and kick back at an info session. Advisers and coordinators will explain how to choose a program, as well as focus on the ins and outs of apprenticeship. Come with questions!
And don’t forget: the day isn’t done once you’ve made your way through the booths and tours, bringing you a little closer to knowing your next move in life. Stick around. The Ooks are playing.
There’s basketball at 1 and 3 p.m. and men’s hockey at 6 p.m. Find a place in the stands and get into the spirit of it. After all, that’s your future home team you’re cheering on.
Crocodiles, parrots and monkeys, oh my! This summer marked the first trip by Veterinary Technology students to an animal rescue facility in Guatemala – a crash course in caring for exotic creatures that is surprisingly applicable to animal health in Alberta.
